Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Financial aid is based on need. An annual request for such assistance is required. Generally the request period is from March to July 1 of each school year. Those seeking assistance should contact the Head of School.

All documents and information are kept in the strictest confidence.

The maximum financial assistance grant available is 50% of the current tuition amount.  Any financial assistance grant is directly applied to a family’s tuition.  All other fees must be paid in full.

Conditions for Applying for Financial Assistance

Before a financial assistance application is accepted and financial assistance awarded, a family must have completed each of the following:

  • paid the enrollment fee in full
  • completed and turned into the school office all required school application paperwork, records from other schools, and any and all psycho-educational testing information
  • received acceptance for admission into Trinity School, and
  • returned a signed enrollment contract indicating the family’s intent to enroll in Trinity School

Please note that financial assistance applications will not be accepted and financial assistance will not be awarded until a student is completely enrolled in Trinity School.

Application Process for Financial Assistance

Trinity School uses the services of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS), a service sponsored by the National Association of Independent Schools.

Families applying for financial assistance complete the Parent’s Financial Statement (PFS), a form provided by SSS.  TrinitySchool encourages families to complete the PFS online at http://www.nais.org/.  For those who do not have access to the internet or would rather not use the online version, a paper form of the PFS is available by contacting TrinitySchool. The completed form and a fee are submitted to SSS.

Families also submit a letter addressed to the Head of School indicating that they are applying for financial assistance and describing any special circumstances surrounding the application as well as the amount of assistance they are requesting. A copy of their last tax statement and a signed copy of IRS Form 4506 granting Trinity School permission to request a copy of the family's tax return from the IRS are to accompany this letter of application.

The school and family receive a printed report from SSS within 4-6 weeks following the submission of the PFS.  This report provides an objective assessment of what a family might be able to afford in the way of tuition.  Because of this timeline, TrinitySchool encourages families to submit all financial assistance application materials no later than July 1.

The financial assistance committee, composed of two board members and the Head of School, meets and uses the information provided by the family and SSS to decide on the size of any financial assistance award given.  Please note that the maximum amount of financial assistance given is 50% of the current tuition.

The school sends a letter to the family indicating the amount of financial assistance awarded.  The school applies the financial assistance directly to the tuition, and monthly tuition payments are adjusted accordingly.

Please note that families awarded financial assistance are not eligible for any other discounts in tuition even if they pay the full amount by the deadlines listed above.
