Employment Type: 2025-2026 School Year (Part Time)

Position Overview

As a School Psychometrist at Trinity School, you will conduct academic evaluations of K-12 students, helping inform parents and faculty of students’ particular strengths and weaknesses, and making recommendations to provide them with the necessary support. Working within a diverse and uplifting environment, you will collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and students to facilitate growth, self-advocacy, and overall success. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a life-changing impact on students who learn differently.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment

  • Schedule and administer psychoeducational assessments to students with diagnosed learning differences; measures include cognitive (WISC-5), academic (GORT-5, WIAT-4, WRAT-5), adaptive functioning (ABAS-3), and behavioral (BASC-3)
  • Coordinate with SLP and reading therapists to complete full evaluations of students’ academic functioning
  • Collect historic information from previous records and parent/student interviews, and provide feedback from assessments to parents and faculty
  • Complete diagnostic reports in a timely manner
     

Community and Family Engagement

  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with students and families
  • Serve as an advocate for students’ academic, social, and emotional growth within the Trinity community


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Education or Psychology and appropriate licensure or certification required
  • Knowledgeable about learning differences, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder
  • Superior interpersonal, presentation, networking, and verbal and written communication skills.

As one of Trinity School’s counselors, you are a trusted adviser for our K-12 students. You’ll engage daily with teachers, administrators, parents, and students in a variety of ways that help our Tigers achieve their goals. Counseling, teaching, advising, and a passion for helping shape students’ lives are all needed to facilitate success.

School Counselor Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic, emotional, and behavioral support for all K-12 students with learning differences, including dyslexia, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder. Including:
    • Crisis management
    • Intervention development
    • Behavioral observation
    • Staff support
  • Help develop and coordinate social-emotional learning curriculum for students
  • Partner with teachers to ensure students receive approved accommodations and/or modifications as outlined in their plans
  • Provide administrative support for scheduling, transition planning, and other duties as assigned
  • Maintain positive relationships with students and their families on behalf of the school.
  • Partner with outside agencies to meet students’ needs.
  • Help monitor fidelity and progress of behavior plans

School Counselor Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Education or Psychology preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about learning differences, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder
  • Trained in crisis management and suicide prevention
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, networking, and verbal and written communication skills.
