Building Confident Communicators

Speech and Language Therapy at Trinity
At Trinity School at Edgemere, we are proud to offer speech and language therapy services to support the communication needs of students in grades K–12. Based on screening and evaluation results, students may qualify for weekly therapy sessions provided during the school day. Services are delivered individually or in small groups, with grouping based on both age and skill level to ensure personalized support.

Our speech-language pathologist works with students to improve a wide range of communication deficits and challenges, including:

  • Articulation – clarity and accuracy of speech sounds
  • Phonology – understanding and applying patterns in speech
  • Childhood Apraxia of Speech – motor planning for speech production
  • Fluency – stuttering and smoothness of speech
  • Expressive Language – using words and sentences effectively
  • Receptive Language – understanding spoken language
  • Pragmatic Language – navigating social communication and interactions

In addition to therapy sessions, Trinity offers social communication and affinity groups designed to foster meaningful peer interaction in real-world contexts. These groups focus on skills such as making friends, reading social cues, resolving conflicts, and participating in conversations. By blending structured learning with natural social opportunities, students develop confidence and competence in their communication skills.

Our goal is to provide dynamic, individualized support that helps every student thrive both academically and socially.
