Driver Education at Trinity School

Building confidence, independence, and real-world readiness

At Trinity School, we believe independence is a critical milestone for our students—and learning to drive can be a life-changing step toward confidence, mobility, and adulthood. To support our students with learning differences, Trinity partners with Dan Lutz Driving School, a trusted, highly experienced provider of driver education in Oklahoma City.

A Program Designed for How Our Students Learn

Students with learning differences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and executive-function challenges often need a different approach to driver education. Through our partnership with Dan Lutz Driving School, instruction is:

  • Individualized and patient – Lessons move at the student’s pace
  • Clear and structured – Directions are broken down into manageable steps
  • Confidence-building – Emphasis on reducing anxiety and building trust
  • Hands-on and practical – Real-world driving experiences in supportive environments

This approach aligns seamlessly with Trinity’s mission to meet students where they are and help them thrive beyond the classroom.

What Students Can Expect
  • One-on-one behind-the-wheel instruction
  • Calm, experienced instructors familiar with neurodiverse learners
  • Support with focus, decision-making, and processing speed
  • Instruction tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges
  • A supportive bridge from school to independent living
Why Driver Education Matters

For many Trinity students, learning to drive isn’t just about earning a license—it’s about:

  • Increased independence and self-esteem
  • Expanded access to jobs, college, and community life
  • Strengthening executive-function and problem-solving skills
  • Removing barriers that can limit post-secondary success
A Natural Extension of Trinity’s Whole-Child Approach

Our driver education partnership reflects Trinity’s commitment to preparing students for life—not just academics. From executive-function coaching to work-based learning and leadership development, driver education is one more way we empower students to navigate the world with confidence.
